I like the wagon, but it is getting awfully close to the XC60 there - I wonder how successful they’ll be marketing both.

Seeing how well this design language scaled from the S/V/XC90 to the V60, I really want to see a new V40.

It is quite close. I’ve been wondering if they’re even going to make a V60 XC, or just let the XC60 fill that role.

Me too, I’m most excited about that one because that’s the one I’m most likely to afford at some point

Same question applies to just about everything Volvo does now. I applaid them for continuing to make wagons, but crossover manners have gotten so good, wagons are almost a relic. Especially the lifted wagons, which are just impractical crossovers.
On that note, if Subaru weren’t growing like crazy, they’d be idiots for launching the Ascent alongside the Forester and Outback.

At least the Ascent is significantly bigger than the Outback which is significantly bigger than the Forester. I think the better comparison might be why do the Crosstrek and Forester both exist when they are built on the same platform, practically the same size, and only have a small price gap. Yet both of those seem to sell fine so maybe Volvo can find a market for all of these things even if the wagons are relics and the lifted wagons aren’t as practical as a tall-box crossover.

Man I’d love to see and new S40. I always loved using the old S40 in rallysport challenge.
